Real Case Scenario:
Elena (not her real name)
is a president of a prestigious real estate
company. She noticed that her company's
sales are declining. Later, she found out,
with the assistant of her Internet
Consultant for 10 years, that their
corporate webmaster, whom they recently
fired out upon recommendation of her
Internet consultant, was stealing sales
information (allegedly) by redirecting the
Online Inquiry Form Results to another email
address allegedly owned by the webmaster,
the later was suspected of passing these
vital sales inquiries to competitors.
According to Emily's
Internet Consultant, they cannot change the
corporate website's password because the
former webmaster allegedly forgot the
password so the Internet Consultant opted to
erase the entire site and created a new one
with a new host, thereby ERASING ALL
IMPORTANT LEGAL DOCUMENTS necessary for a
successful litigation.
When Emily sought
our assistance, we got suspicious of some
vital facts that attended this particular
case. (1) Why did the Internet Consultant
want to transfer to a new host and erase
entirely their old site? (2) Why did the
Internet Consultant wait for three months to
ask their former webmaster for the password
when in fact the password reset can be
requested directly from the website hosting
provider in a matter of minutes?
Later, it turned out that
the real culprit is their Internet
Consultant. However, the case has long been
filed against their former webmaster, and
they had no legal document to support their
case.
When cyber crime is
committed against your person or property,
it is very important that you react to the
incident very efficiently.
Your case is as good as your
documentation of the incident.
Our professional services will help you in
minimizing your losses and bring you
immediate relief. It is important that you
bring the culprit to justice, either by way
of compensatory damages through out-of-court
settlements or through the court of law if
everything else failed. However, your case
is as good as your documentation of the
incident. To be admissible in the court of
law, your evidence must not only be
material, it must also be relevant. To
ensure the success of out-of-court
settlement or litigations, the evidence
pointing against the culprit must be
overwhelming as to overcome the presumption
of his innocence and to prove his guilt
beyond reasonable doubt.
Thorough, Scientific Documentation.
We will preserve the cyber crime scene by
conducting thorough documentation of the
site, making screen shots if needed, saving
copies of the site and preserving the html
source codes that might give us a lead as to
the identity of the culprit. If the cyber
crime incident is in progress, it is
important that we document the incident,
monitor and study the criminal pattern and
making audit trails in order to identify the
culprit and his location.

We will assist you in the documentation of
the losses suffered by you or your
organization as a result of the incident.

and expensive litigation process, we will
help you negotiate for compensatory damages
through out-of-court settlements. Only when
all negotiations failed that we will help
you bring bring the culprit to the court of
law through our lawyer-partners.
Cyber crime Prevention through conduct
of a technical audit
If the cyber crime
incident has not occurred yet, it is also in
your best interest that we conduct on-site

hardware and software, to look for some
malicious codes or hardware that might be
stealing important data from you. Some IT
gadgets are so discreet and sophisticated.
Keyloggers can document and steal whatever
you type in your computer keyboard;
passwords, credit card information, etc.
Power plugs in your power outlet may seem so
harmless but it may be recording important
conversations "on-demand" basis. Flash
drives may not be as what they seem to be.
It is important that you are also familiar
with spy gadgets and you will be surprised
to know that a spy gadget in a flash drive
casing may act both as a flash drive when
connected to your computer and a voice
recorder even if it sits on your table
unplugged! Some gadgets look so discreet and
innocent that you will never know if it is
stealing information from you. Some gadgets
can even track your location eavesdrop on
your conversation. Hidden cameras are so
discreet and they are even wireless.
Guard your online sales and profit!
Your webmaster might also be stealing
important information from your personal,
business, or corporate web sites. Online
inquiries can be directed to email addresses
not authorized by you.
